Are you suggesting that maybe he forgot about us in the green corner and it will go months or longer without being updated? Tisk Tisk

With a 100 complaints over on the CP side, he may very well have. Mum's the word!

Is it thick? haha jk, To be honest I was a little skeptical of the new look but it is starting to grow on me. My biggest complaint is that I instinctively keep poking at my monitor. I think I might need a new one soon. The buttons are just screaming "Poke Me!!!"

And here I thought it was a "no shirt, no service" policy (taking off his clothes).

I've been on this site for about a month and not much has happened. However, it's explainable: RootAdmin has 750 members. CodeProject (what I was comparing this to) has 9,237,746 (as of now).

We think of it as a hobby. As long as the articles that are here are valuable to whoever wanders along, we're happy.

I think that's great, it just makes for a bit of a boring life on this site.

Well I'll tell you that I saw the movie last night.. Boy am I tired. Ended at 3:30am. Don't tell chris I am slightly zombie like today even with two coffees in me by 10:45. Anyway if and when you go see it don't stick around for a scene/teaser/stinger at the end. Its not there. There isn't one. When the credits roll its over.
btw without giving anything away. IMO the movie played out like a story from start to finish, with very little junk or this or that thrown in randomly to fill in the dead space. So it was a nice treat. However I was not overly impressed as a whole. I had some issues with the voices of both Bane and Batman as well as some other issues. I won't get into those since few would have seen it yet and I'll keep this post spoiler free.

Well, a post for the heck of it.
It seens to be slow here quite a bit.
(I am typing on my iPad, so please forgive errors.);
public class SysAdmin: Employee
{
public override void DoWork(IWorkItem item){
if (item.User.Type == UserType.NoLearn){
throw new NoIWillNotFixYourComputerException(new Luser(item.User), "STOP GIVING ME THE SAME ISSUE EVERY 30 SECONDS!!!");
}else{
base.DoWork(item);
}
}
}

I wonder what sort of human model the ipad keyboard was designed after. The last time I tried to type on one I wished my thumbs were about 8 inches long and pointy like a chopstick.

Try splitting it up (in landscape mode) by spreading it apart with two hands.

I think the liquid crystal will ooze onto the floor if I break it in half...jk... i tried that but again it just felt awkward.I think I am just too built into a blackberry keyboard.

Good question.

What place would you be referring to? This website, this forum or some other place?
This website is meant to be a collection of IT articles and discussions. Something a bit bigger than just a support Question and Answer forum. A place where people can learn and contribute to others learning.
This forum called The Lounge is an offtopic message board where like-minded or not so like-minded people can talk about pretty much whatever they want. Including talking about nothing, like is clearly the case in this thread...
If its someplace else please expand and I will hopefully have some sort of opinion for you....
And btw Slaker007 welcome aboard.

While software teams do an incredible job of ironing out functional bugs in all types of software—and even in fixing problems that show up in hardware after tapeout—they do far too little to improve the energy efficiency of their code. The software engineers say they don’t have the right tools to do that, which is a legitimate point. And the hardware engineers say that isn’t a priority for the software teams, which also is a legitimate point.

So, software developers are the ones who are really responsible for global warming? As a hardware engineer, I always thought that lot seemed a bit shifty. It all makes sense now; if the globe gets a bit warmer, they can all finally abandon their last vestige of personal hygiene and quit wearing clothes altogether.

And here we are thinking we are so clever and no one will see through our dastardly plan.

I'm looking forward to shaving all our heads and wearing those judges' wigs like in the old days.
