Yes, I should've clarified that, plus, I spend a good deal of time crawling around CodeProject, which has a lot more people (almost there to the 10 millionth member, yay!) so I was kind of making a comparison with it. Still, it's awesome that this site is here, hopefully the amount and quality of articles and members will steadily grow

OK, I thought (... online) meant the number of people who have signed up and are signed in currently.

Just finished up a little bit ago Moving my Domain Name and getting 1 year of hosting.
I was supposed to be able to login right after I got the reciept.
Login Failed .
Perhaps it is waiting for my pay ment method to clear
Bummer
Update:
I can now login But Don't have clue how to procede.
The interface is not very intuitive.
I may have to wait now untill the transfer is in effect ????

Who with?
I had no problems at all with Arvixe when I started a couple of years ago.
Mind you, pretty much the first thing I did was set up a couple of FTP logins.

It started off as a Microsoft Small buisness Site, I got in on their Beta offering so you got your site for free.
Then they Charged you for your Domain Name but left you hosted for free.
Next They dropped the Small buisness offering and you either had to Move over to the Office 360 or find a new host. I moved to the office 360 till the free part Expired. It wasn't for me.
The Domain Name was registered by Microsoft in my name thru Melbourne IT and last time I renewed it I had to also Pay a Cross border Fee.
So now I finally settled on using Network Solutions, Mainly Just because I know the Name and have Seen it around for years.
I am Moving my Domain Name registration from Melbourne IT to Network Solutions.
Network Solutions will also be the hosting provider.
I'm thinking I may just have to wait till the Domain Name gets transfered before I can set it up in my settings
I can now log in and start working with the tools to build the site before the transfer is Complete.
They are similar to the ones Microsoft had for there offering.
To bad I wasn't Better at web design. I've Been staying away from it as much as possible for the lat 15 years.

Me too. But I'm working on it now.

Yah I have to kick it in gear so I can have a decent looking site even using the site builder.

I decided that I'm going to cancel my account with network solutions and start the process of getting a refund.
They are supposed to have a 30 day moneyback deal.
Their Email support is worthless in the sense that you can not reply to any emails they send you.You get a message back that says "This is an automatic reply to let you know that this is not an active e-mail address"
Da, so how did they send me a message with it.
If I wanted to talk with them on the phone I wouldn't have chosen the Email route.
But I will have to call them on the phone to cancel the hosting with them and get my money back.

I went with DiscountASP.NET[^] and they have provided good service so far at a reasonable price.

I just looked at it again and It is not for me I need a drag and drop site builder.
Can't remember if I even toyed with any asp.net stuff.

RootAdmin ad spaces: Advertising pays for our servers and bandwidth. We try hard to ensure advertising is on-topic and not annoying. Blocking ads hurts our ability to add new services. This just showed up today in the ad spaces here on RA (but not on CP). Fair enough, I understand and want to do my part, but I am not sure how I go about un-blocking ads only for CodeProject and RootAdmin.
I block stuff using the hosts file from http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm[^]. I have not looked into modifying it to allow CP related ads through.
BTW, when I browse CP and RA from my phone, I get all the ads and I do try to click on some of them regularly.

I see this too. However, I don't have any ad-blocking software, so I wonder if it's our firewall blocking it.
