Looks like some recent update has pushed CP icon in the root folder. I see CP icon in my browser tab now.

I am suddenly getting 503: Service Unavailable errors when trying to access it.

Not that I know of.... Seems to be ok. I think there are some updates going on that might have caused a little blip.

Griff showed me this[^] once. Allows you check if a website is offline or just you can't access it.
|

Thats an intersting way to check without having to email someone.

Exactly, a very useful tool.

I have a little red box indicating I have a notification but when I go there it says "No notifications" - although it does say I need to confirm my email address - which is the same as my CP email.
I click to send myself a email confirmation request but it never arrives - I appear to have the correct address set - and I have received things from CP via it.
- I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

Hi,
I posted one message, and I got 1 Debator point, but why is the status when I have 1 Debator point 'Under Water'?
It's not a negative number, so why 'Under Water'?

I wasn't logged in (because Chrome has been giving me a hard time recently, so I'm trying FireFox) when I tried to reply to Bills message:
http://www.rootadmin.com/Messages/529/Re-Ouch-Ad-block-slap-on-the-wrist.aspx[^]
What I got was a popup saying "You are about to reply to your own message. Are you sure that is what you want to do?"
I'm pretty sure it should say "You need to be logged in to post messages" instead.

I assume you did not get an error message after you logged in. Otherwise, I would have suspected it had something to do with Bill's account here on RA. His name and icon by his posts have that "shady look" and I think it is because his account is not fully established (or whatever the term is) on this site. I cannot find him on the Who's who page.

Nope - once logged in, I could post straight away.

I realize this is still a new thing and you are probably not done working on it yet, so perhaps this is a good time for me to make a couple requests.
It is not clear to me what it takes to gain the following privileges, so I think it would be nice to have them listed as well:
- Report a Question/Answer in QA. (Even a Protector cannot do this)
- Report a Comment in QA. (Even a Protector cannot do this)
- Delete a Comment in QA. (Even a Protector cannot do this)

Hi Root Admin,
Who's Who[^] page shows hamsters.
Quote: Something bad happened
We're not sure what, but we have a few guesses.
Problem: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Thanks,

Yes, this seems to happen when the page is sorted on Article Count (which I think is the default). Try clicking this[^] link. It should force it to page 1 of the list sorted by member ID.
From there you can try to see if you can find what you are looking for.
[EDIT]Using the link above, I tried going through the pages. Hamsters show up when trying to access pages 6, 7, 8, 9, 22, 23, 24. Just an FYI.[/EDIT]

Yes checked and agreed.
So, this page has more issues than I thought of.

We prefer to work on of creating sections as they are needed instead of having empty sections, so as soon as articles are posted that justify new sections we'll create them.
It saves guess work!

Since this site is not a programming site, it is recommended that during posting a message, the default mode is rich text format, not plain text + HTML coding style. Just like the editing tools while writing article. This will make non-programmer users more easier, comfortable, get involved while replying or posting messages.

Rich Text? Real SysAdmins use mono-spaced raster fonts!
For now I think we'll just stick to plain text input, with HTML for those who wish to go a little crazy. Posts should be about the topic at hand, not a showcase of one's ability to fancy format

I voted for a black page with green system font and no pictures or graphics of any kind.
